Our new system is live and fully operational! Effective immediately, the Lotus Notes Idea Submission System is offline, and all Idea submissions will be handled through our new system. Your old ideas are being closed out, and coins will be awarded soon!
What's New?
As always, the Good Idea Club allows TeamMates to identify problems or issues and offer a solution. For many years this has been largely a one-to-one dialogue between the Manager and the TeamMate submitting the idea, with very few options to share and build on ideas. Additionally, the responses often went unshared with other TeamMates, which led to multiple duplicate ideas and general miscommunication. To solve these issues, we are proud to present our Good Idea Forum, a place to share and expand on ideas! See the heading below for more information.
Another big change is the switch to a completely digital coin and award system. Read on for additional details.
Good Idea Forum
Similar to an online message board, the Good Idea Forum replaces our old isolated submissions with a public bulletin board accessible to everyone. Once on the Forum (link on the left), you can view any open ideas, search the archives, or submit something yourself! Once you've viewed a Good Idea, you can leave additional comments, and vote on whether or not you think the idea should be implemented. After a short period, the idea will pass onto the manager for a response and final decision and your coins will be rewarded at the completion.
Digital Coin and Award System
In the past we've awarded physical "silver" and "gold" coins for Good Idea submissions. While it was nice to have a tangible reward in your hand, they could get cumbersome and difficult to keep track of. The Responding Managers had an even harder time keeping track of who and when coins were awarded to, and we really had no way to tell how many coins were still in circulation! With the new system we are pleased to announce that all future coin rewards will be completely digital, automating the record keeping tasks and keeping your awards all in the same, secure place. Along with this change we are able to automate the purchase of gift cards, t-shirts, and other Whirley-DrinkWorks! paraphernalia. Simply click on the Good Idea Club Store link on the left to get started. We will have a trade-in period for the next couple months for all physical coins so you can begin using the new system! Once you're ready, jump into the Forum and start submitting ideas!
